Climate Moonshot Portfolio

The Climate Moonshot Portfolio is an open-source reference architecture for large-scale climate R&D. It asks: If society spent billions on additional R&D to reduce climate risk, what should it develop? The current portfolio contains eight roughly $1B, five-year initiatives. They are starting points for review—not a package to adopt unchanged.

Common Framework. Shared rules cover governance, procurement, open data, independent review, safety, stage gates, and stop-work. Lower-cost analysis and design precede larger prototypes; programs advance only when evidence justifies the next stepPDF | DOCX

How to use it. Reviewers may add, delete, combine, redesign, or re-budget initiatives. This is not a request for one organization to receive ~$8B; programs can be independently adapted, competed, and funded by governments, foundations, or other public-interest funders.
